Gulf Shield has operated continuously in Iraq since 2010, combining deep local knowledge with specialized expertise in the oil and gas sector. We provide security services across multiple oil fields, including Zubair, Burzurgan, West Qurna 1 & 2, Gharraf, Badra, and Rumaila. We operate Iraq’s first regulated training academy and indoor/outdoor shooting ranges, offering accredited training to our staff and other security firms.     We support the continuous improvement of our standards from the top to the bottom of our organization. Gulf Shield are among the forerunners of the establishment and development of regulation for the private security sector, we work hard with all regulating bodies and civil organizations on national and international policies and procedures. We approach our projects with the local community in mind, ensuring that we engage and recruit from the population our projects are based in. All of our projects conduct local engagement with local dignitaries, municipalities and security forces. We achieve this through are hybrid liaison and security teams, using a mixture of highly qualified Expats and Iraqis.     We have held our operating license in the Republic of Iraq since our official registration in 2010. We ensure that we continue to comply with all of the legal requirements for conducting our business in the security sector. Gulf Shield applies the highest standard of ethical behavior and integrity during all of our dealings with clients, local personnel, security counterparts, stakeholders and all security personnel that are operating in the Republic of Iraq. We maintain cordial relations with senior level Iraqi Government Officials and Concessional owning companies. We strive and pride ourselves on being one a handful of companies that can operate in all of Iraq’s provinces, allowing our clients the freedom of movement that they require to complete their jobs, movement paperwork that our legal and compliance team work around the clock to update and renewal.
